Famed author Haruki Murakami regularly mentions records and albums in his written work. This week, he announced that he is going to donate the majority of his collection of records to Waseda University in Tokyo. The collection consists of over 10,000 records and many written documents. He stated at a press conference, " “I couldn’t be happier if (the center) will help those who want to study my works. I hope it will be something that promotes cultural exchange.”
